The diva kicked-off the pride event in Manchester over the Bank Holiday weekend with a short but strong set in front a huge crowd last Friday, August 22nd.
Anastacia is on full-on mode promoting her latest album, “Resurrection”, the album is amazing ok, let me just say that!!!
She was the best choice ever to kick-off one of the biggest pride events in the country, if not in the world.
Her voice, her songs, are pure perfection, and she’s a huge gay icon who probably has the most loyal and exciting fans, out of all the divas of modern pop music.
The diva impressed the crowd by doing a couple of songs a capella, her amazingly fierce “Paid My Dues” and gay classic “Deeper Love”, by Aretha Franklin song.
To get the crowd even more excited, Anastacia proudly says: “I’M SO PROUD TO BE HERE. BUT YOU KNOW I THINK WE’RE ALL PROUD TO BE HERE.”
In her short set-list, Anastacia included songs like: “I’m Outta Love”, “Left Outside Alone” and her latest single, “Staring At The Sun”.
One thing I didn’t like it very much was her look, the fur-coat, the dress and the glasses, nothing about it worked in my opinion. She looked more like a mad-cat-lady than a pop diva.
Still, she was amazing, she is always “pure realness”, it doesn’t matter what she wears.
Anastacia is one of my favourite singers ever and she still is “Not That Kind” of girl, she’s just…
