When I first saw an article about those monologues, or Beyoncelogues, I was a bit apprehensive and couldn’t decide if I should take a look or if it would be a waste of time since is most likely to be a parody of Beyoncé’s work that I admire very much. But I wanted to know what the fuss about the videos was and I have to say, I’m well impressed!!!
Actress Nina Millin did a great job in transforming pop classics like “Irreplaceable”, “If I Were A Boy” and “Mine” into monologues, giving the songs and its words a deeper and dramatic meaning.
She’s by far mocking Beyoncé’s work, if anything she’s taking it to a different dimension.
“I THINK I MISUNDERSTOOD HOW BELOVED BEYONCE IS,” the actress Nina Millin said to Esquire Magazine. “I THINK WE’RE REALLY ON TO SOMETHING HERE.”
So far, three videos are available on YouTube and I’m hoping to see more very soon.
“If I Were A Boy”
I hope you enjoy!!!
