Our beloved super diva Christina Aguilera proved once again why she’s known as “the voice of a generation” with a beautiful and classy performance on ABC’s recently aired “Taking The Stage: African American Music And Stories That Changed America” special.
Filmed back in September at the John F. Kennedy Centre For The Performing Arts to celebrate the opening of the new Smithsonian’s National Museum Of African American History And Culture, the special aired this past Thursday (January 12th) on ABC and it was then that we got to see Aguilera’s stunning performance of the 1933 classic song “Stormy Weather”.
Let me just say this, Aguilera stole the show bitches!!! She slayed from beginning to end and after her, there was none.
Xtina looked stunning from head to toe, a true and iconic diva and it comes with no surprise that she took the opportunity to flex her vocal-chords muscles, she took the audience to church in real Christina style, with a lot of sentiment, emotion and pride.
It was a magical, powerful and meaningful performance to say the least!!!
Aguilera’s performance was so good that she got a standing ovation from the mesmerised crowd that included influential people like Oprah Winfrey, Mary J. Blige and Barack and Michelle Obama.
