HBO and Starbucks joined forces to organise the concert to pay tribute to war veterans, raise some cash for support groups and honour the troops who work for their country, and they recruited some fierce divas to bring some “girl power” to the concert.
The National Mall in Washington was packed with thousands of music fans to watch the concert, which was also broadcasted live on HBO and radio stations across America.
Jennifer Hudson opened the event, singing the American national anthem and then, Jessie J joined her on stage for an amazing duet of the number one single “Titanium”.
Rihanna looked AMAZING, all in black, slick hair and delivered perfect performances of her hits “Diamonds” and “Stay”.
Taking part of the concert was also, the mom-to-be and “Country music queen”, Carrie Underwood, who was dressed like she was going to the mall but as always, sang like an angel.
A lot of “fierceness” happened to honour the troops!!!
