The Australian rapper who’s been dominating the charts, awards shows and radio stations around the world in the past year or so, sat down with the guys from Billboard Magazine for another revealing interview.
Iggy’s interview can be read in full on the December 12th issue of Billboard Magazine.
According to the article, Iggy is a “Billboard Women in Music Honoree”. Title that she’s so deserving, taking that 2014 has been so far, an amazing year for the rapper.
She broke records achieved by heavy names like, Lil’ kim and The Beatles. All thanks to the massive hits, “Fancy” and “Problem”, her duet with Ariana Grande.
Iggy spoke about her earliest musical memory, how she first remember rapping when she was only 13 years-old, how she deals with the paparazzi invasion, this past year highlights and who she takes inspiration from.
She said about that: “I’VE ALWAYS LOVED FERGIE AND GWEN STEFANI. I LOVED EVE AND LIL’ KIM AND MISSY ELLIOTT. I LOVED TRINA AND CHRISTINA AGUILERA AS WELL. I WANTED TO BE A MIX OF ALL OF THEM, WHICH I THINK I AM – I HOPE!”
Well, Iggy you are very good, talented and charismatic, but let’s not push it ok.
She only named huge icons of pop culture that have broken many barriers and pushed boundaries for many years.
