Katy Perry is on the road with her brand new tour to support the amazing and successful album “Prism” that she released last year and of that album she had number one hits like “Roar” and “Dark Horse”. With full house the first concert of the tour took place in Belfast at the “Odyssey Arena” for the delight of the thousands of screaming “KatyCats” that were in the audience.
Earlier yesterday (7th of May) Katy Perry posted on Instagram the official set list of the show and that was only the beginning of the excitement around her “Prismatic Tour”.
Katy Perry impressed the audience and critics so far with an extravagant and colourful concert from the moment she walked on stage, all the way to the end.
She kept the energy level super high throughout the evening looking happy and confident.
She definitely “brought tha house down”!!!
She opened the concert with the massive hit “Roar” and after that it was hit after hit, after hit, all perfectly performed on point while wearing some of the coolest costumes I’ve ever seen.
The neon lights costume in the beginning of the concert was really good.
But every costume and stage set was rich in details, very larger than life, everything had a specific purpose related to the songs.
For the song “Hot ‘N Cold” the set and the costumes were just like the musical “Cats”.
To give the hit “Dark Horse” a bigger impact she had on stage a massive golden horse on which she appears on stage sitting on top of it.
Katy was lowered down the stage for “E.T.” and the result looked like a scene out of a movie.
Katy had different wigs including a “very green” one. She had huge sunflowers and a radiant, in your face, loud outfit for the last song of the evening “Firework”.
The good energy she gave her fans, she got it back from the adoring crowd that sang along with Perry throughout the night.
For this tour Katy Perry had her costumes designed by some major names in fashion like Valentino and Roberto Cavalli.
I think that Perry is giving Lady GaGa a run for her money, she has improved so much recently.
GaGa does the same old thing, slightly revamped when K-Pez re-invent everything making something that was already good, become something amazing.
She’s going to be on the road until some time in December when the tour ends in Australia, playing a total of 107 concerts. The “Prismatic Tour” is in the UK until the 31st of May.
So, if you can get a ticket for one of the concerts, you sooooooooooo should do it!!!
