Madonna, the “Queen of Pop” is the star on the cover of Billboard’s magazine December issue as she’s the latest diva to become the winner of the “Woman Of The Year” award at the 2016 Billboard Women in Music Awards. Inside the issue you can read the chat in between Elizabeth Banks and the pop icon.They cover several topics, from Malawi, social media, ageism to Donald trump and as always, Madonna say it like it is. Madonna’s personality quirks are well-known, specially her need to always be in control, so when asked if she’ll ever relax over her controlling issues or if for her, she always have to be in control of things, Madonna answered short and straight to the point: “I HAVE TO.”
When conversation turns to ageism in the music business and Hollywood in general Madonna responds in a way only she can, she said: “I DON’T CARE. I DON’T THINK ABOUT MY AGE UNTIL SOMEONE SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT IT. AGE IS ONLY BROUGHT UP WITH REGARD TO WOMEN.”
She continues with her fierce answers when talking about relevance: “AM I RELEVANT AS A FEMALE IN THIS SOCIETY THAT HATES WOMEN? WELL, TO PEOPLE WHO ARE EDUCATED AND ARE NOT CHAUVINIST OR MISOGYNIST, YES.”

Talking about the recent election results and Donald Trump becoming the new president of the USA, Madge says: “IT FELT LIKE SOMEONE DIED. IT FELT LIKE A COMBINATION OF HEARTBREAK, BETRAYAL AND DEATH… I FEEL THAT WAY EVERY MORNING.”
She goes onto give her thoughts on why Hillary lost. According to Madonna, Hillary lost because “WOMEN HATE WOMEN”.
Madonna reveals that her involvement with the African Country of Malawi has opened her eyes and since then she has connected with several others organisations around Africa. Mage has adopted two kids born in Malawi and she’s a great ambassador to raise awareness to the issues faced by the people in Malawi.
Madonna talks about how she uses social media, what the future holds for her as a movie director and much more.
The piece ends with several artists talking about Madonna and one of them is the one and only Nicki Minaj.
Minaj said: “WHEN I THINK OF GREATNESS AND WHAT A LEGEND IS, I ALWAYS THINK OF MADONNA. SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN TRUE TO HERSELF AS AN ARTIST. SHE DOES THINGS HER WAY NO MATTER WHAT AND THAT ALWAYS INSPIRES ME.”
It’s about time that Billboard selected Madonna to win the main award at the “Billboard Women in Music Awards”, that will take place in New York on December 9th.
