Nicki Minaj brings “ghetto-glamour” to “Philly 4th of July Jam”


With her new album coming out soon, hip-hop queen Nicki Minaj is working hard on its promotion and today she took the stage in Philadelphia to perform some of her fierce hits and the hit single “Pills ‘N Potions”.

I’m going to start throwing a mild shade, I know that she’s a rapper and not a vocalist but since she tries to sing properly, I feel like my shade is rather fair.

Minaj’s vocals were more on the dark side, right in the beginning during “Superbass”, at times, she was late and the notes were very off.


Things improved 100% in “Pills ‘N Potions” and carried on until the end (mostly). I loved “Did On ‘Em” and “Beez In The Trap”.

The crowd’s reaction to “Moment 4 Life” was insane!!! I literally died!!!

Even though Nicki only played for twenty minutes, her set was very good and she managed to cover some high points of her career.
