Remembering pop star Stephen Gately on what would’ve been his 41st b’day!!!

Music superstar Stephen Gately was born on March 17, 1976 in Dublin and went to become one of the most famous names in pop music history until his sudden death in 2009, his legacy and achievements will live forever and never be forgotten.

Stephen Gately success started as a member (better singer by a mile) of the hugely successful and one of the most iconic boy bands in pop music’s history Boyzone.

With the other members of the band (background singers) he had 16 top 10 singles, 6 number 1 songs and 4 number 1 albums on the UK charts.

Songs like “Love Me For A Reason”, “Isn’t It A Wonder” and “No Matter What” are classics that pop music fans will cherish forever.

There isn’t a single person out there that couldn’t recognise the intro of “No Matter What”, you know what I’m talking about… that’s all Stephen Gately.

“No Matter What” is one of Boyzone’s most successful song and still is the most successful song from a stage show and the bestselling single ever by an Irish act in the UK. Let’s not forget to mention that it was the best-selling song of 1997, a time when the Spice Girls dominated the charts without mercy and the song is also the bestselling song written by Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber.

Stephen Gately’s solo career also wasn’t short of success, in 2000 the pop icon released the single “New Beginning” which was also the title of his first and sadly only solo album and from that album the singer released three hit songs, “New Beginning/Bright Eyes”, “I Believe” (which is featured on the soundtrack of the film “Billy Elliot”) and “Stay”.

The star also enjoyed success as an actor, he enjoyed several successful runs on stages of London’s fabulous West End.

Just before his shocking death Gately finished a children’s book titled “The Tree Of Seasons”.

He was more than a pretty face or just a 90’s boy-band member, Stephen Gately was a kind and giving person that with his incredible talent entertained millions of fans around the world with great songs, beautiful vocals and performances that were just 100% ON POINT, *SNAP SNAP*.
