Roberto Cavalli has chosen Nicki Minaj to be the face of his new 2015 campaign

Since becoming one of the world’s biggest music stars Nicki Minaj has expressed her love for fashion in every way possible and recently she got one of the biggest recognitions ever, being picked by Roberto Cavalli to be the face of his spring/summer 2015 campaign.

The Italian designer has watched Nicki’s growth within the fashion world in recent times and since the rapper is one of the world’s most successful names, Cavalli decided to approach Minaj and propose a deal to make her the new face of his brand.

The photos for the upcoming Cavalli campaign were done by Francesco Carrozzini and the photos are just stunning. Nicki Minaj was created for high-fashion photo shoots.

Roberto Cavalli spoke to Vogue about choosing Nicki:

“I CHOSE NICKI MINAJ BECAUSE SHE EMBODIES THE EXUBERANT AND MODERN FEMININITY OF THE CAVALLI WOMAN. IN RECENT YEARS WE HAVE BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO WOMEN CASTIGATED IN CLOTHES THAT HIDE THEIR BODY SHAPES. WITH THIS CAMPAIGN, I WANTED TO SEND A STRONG COUNTERTREND MESSAGE. I WANTED A SENSUAL WOMAN WHO IS AWARE OF HER BODY – WHO IS NOT AFRAID TO SHOW HER CURVES. INSTEAD, SHE MAKES THEM HER STRENGTH.”
